"Although we have five philanthropies and service initiatives, our biggest philanthropy is the Alzheimer's Association. The women of Sigma Kappa Sorority have partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association since 1984 to help realize our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease. Thousands of Sigma Kappa members have volunteered countless hours raising awareness for the Alzheimer’s movement and funds to accelerate the pace of discovery in Alzheimer’s research. Over more than three decades of an unwavering commitment to our cause, Sigma Kappa sisters have raised and donated more than $9 million to the Alzheimer’s Association. In 2014 Sigma Kappa Foundation pledged a bold commitment of $1 million as the first philanthropic investor in the Women’s Alzheimer’s Research Initiative. Sigma Kappa is a Walk to End Alzheimer's national team, and we consistently raise over $1 million each year through their Walk to End Alzheimer's fundraising."
